» Vietnam values ties with Czech Republic: Party leader

Ho Chi Minh City (VNA) – Vietnam always treasures its ties with traditional friends, including the Czech Republic , Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh said. He made the statement at his meeting with Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek in Ho Chi Minh City on March 23 during the latter's official visit to the country.
The Party General Secretary lauded the Czech PM's visit as a manifestation of the growing ties between the Southeast Asian country and the Central European country. He valued the results of recent political dialogues by high-ranking State and Government officials, legislators, and representatives of the ruling parties of the two countries.
The Party leader hoped both countries will spare no efforts to further boost bilateral cooperation, especially in economy and investment. " Vietnam will act as a bridge for the Czech Republic to promote cooperation with other ASEAN member countries," Party General Secretary Manh said.
He thanked the Czech Government and people for creating favourable conditions to facilitate the Vietnamese community's integration in their country and make contributions to the homeland. The Czech PM said he was glad to see with his own eyes Vietnam 's immense renovation changes and the country's rising prestige and position in the world and the region.
The Czech PM reiterated that his government places importance on ratcheting up the traditional friendship and cooperation with Vietnam . He also affirmed that the Czech Republic will spare no efforts to increase multi-faceted cooperation and friendship with Vietnam and support the country's cooperative ties with the European Union.-Enditem
